Job Title / Reporting to:

Head of Partner Enablement reporting to the Group Head: Professional Partner Network, located in Centurion, Pretoria.

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Professional Partner Management team in Centurion, Pretoria. If you have previous experience delivering sales and/or technology training and can communicate these concepts to audiences at different stages in a customer’s journey, we’d like to speak with you. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for the delivery of training content to IoT.nxt’s partner ecosystem made of Resellers, System Integrators, Technology (OEM, ISVs), Vertical Industry, Market, Services and Alliance partners. You will be responsible for developing, managing and growing the IoT.nxt Partner Training and Enablement Program which involves planning technology coverage model including hardware, software, integration and support services training as well as building proactive relationships with training & education partners, focusing on IoT.nxt adoption. You will have an opportunity to combine a passion for teaching and coaching and enthusiasm to drive learning and establish positive third party relationships. You will be the custodian for all Partner training content, curriculum, modules and certifications.  

Key Result Areas: (Major Accountabilities)

  • Devise and execute partner enablement plans, providing performance indicator coaching training to our partners.
  • Hold kick-off call with new onboarding partners in tandem with PPN team members.
  • Train partners on existing and new product features.
  • Lead weekly and monthly partner alignment meetings to facilitate FAQ and coaching.
  • Facilitate Partner Certification Program per outlined Partner Enablement Success Plan.
  • Provide product feedback and new features requests to IoT.nxt Product Engineering team.
  • Document all partner training sessions, communication, and action plans within required IoT.nxt solutions following standard operating procedures.
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with our partners’ executive, sales and services teams and key internal stakeholders.
  • Understand partners’ industry, markets, use cases, and be able to advise on product usage to achieve desired goals and outcomes.
  • Increase partner retention and adoption rates by conducting regular check-ins, delivering high quality sessions, obsessing over quality knowledge transfer and technology adoption, company goals, strategy and outcomes.
  • Track end customer activity to identify risk and work proactively with Partner on action plans to eliminate risk.
  • Serve as a partner advocate, including collecting customer feedback on product needs, understanding customer and industry trends and articulating those back to the business.
  • Visit partners on-site as needed to facilitate new partner onboarding, initial enablement and continuous training and up-skilling.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience


The successful candidate is an experienced sales & commercial and/or technical instructor, ideally with hands-on experience with IoT or Hardware, Firmware, Software and Services solutions.
  • You will have excellent communication skills as well as proven technology and/or commercial training experience. Possess deep understanding of the various phases of project management including initiating, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure.
  • Must have direct client engagement experience over multiple end-to-end implementations.
  • Acumen to correctly interpret trends, patterns from available data and formulate effective strategies and actions in achieving program/project objectives.
  • Solid familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge in CRM systems (preferably Salesforce.com), PRM Systems (such as Allbound, AppDirect, Channeltivity, ChannelXperts, Computer Market Research, Comviva, Impartner, Magentrix, Mindmatrix, Oracle, Salesforce, Webinfinity, Zift Solutions or ZINFI Technologies).


  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize on day-to-day and week-to-week basis.
  • Experience in a dynamic, hyper growth environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal); should be able to prepare and deliver presentations to C-level executives.
  • Highest degree of ethics and integrity.

Professional Experience:

  • 5 years + relevant work experience in the Information Technology or Channel sector (preferably both).
  • 3 years + people management experience.
  • Strategic thinker who can blend consulting and business strategy to innovate and develop compelling plans for new partner training initiatives.
  • Solid inter-personal and negotiation skills; should be able to facilitate engagements and handle objections in real-time.
  • Capability to logically plan and set team priorities, identify and resolve problems to produce measurable results.
  • Ability to effectively work with a variety of organisations, management levels, cultures, and personalities.
  • Superior written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • International experience and experience working on cross-functional teams preferred.
  • A high-level technical background, familiar with IoT concepts preferred.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA/graduate degree a plus.
  • Academic, Marketing or Business-to-Business Management background preferred.
