IoT Business Analyst reporting to the IoT Solution Architect located in Centurion, Pretoria
The primary mission of the IoT Business Analyst is to improve the client experience while reducing the risk of deployment for IoT projects by ensuring that we have a clear understanding of the client’s needs and accurately translate these into designs for the delivery teams.
Key Result Areas (Major Accountabilities)
Ensuring that there is a clear understanding of the user’s problem that we are solving.
Creating a joint understanding of the functional and non-functional requirements that would deliver the outcomes the client expects to achieve.
Mapping the functional and non-functional requirements to the features and capabilities of the IoT.nxt Core Product to identify configuration and custom development scope.
Integrating with IoT Device (Integration) Specialists to identify and specify the integration of IoT devices to deliver on the user requirements.
Translating this information into clear and concise design documentation enabling delivery teams to productively deliver on requirements.
Develop test plans to ensure high quality delivery and alignment with client requirements.
Participates in User Acceptance testing

Exhibit knowledge of telematics, M2M, Internet of Things (IoT) and/or Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)
Exhibit knowledge of principles and procedures for project management
Exhibit knowledge of Waterfall and Agile delivery methods
Systems / Software / Principles – Cloud based, Platform as a Service, Big Data
Should understand integration via REST API, Logical data modelling using ER diagramming.
Use of diagramming tools and methods (i.e. MS Visio, Aris, UML, BPMN)
Skilled in specification/requirements elicitation for software solutions and new product development
Interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical issues in a concise and non-technical manner to users
Technical writing and verbal communication skills to document and explain models to and between multiple stakeholders
Skilled in Data visualisation - the ability to present data in a meaningful and efficient manner
Development of wireframe designs
Conducted JAD sessions, created Use Cases, workflows, screen shots and Power Point presentations
Lead and coordinate requirements gathering sessions with the purpose of creating user stories, Epics, Features for various releases
Experience in Functional, Integration, System and User Acceptance Testing.
Ability to work across multiple teams/projects/time zones
Between 3-5 years business analysis experience with a preference for background in industrial environments.
