Job Title/Reporting to

IoT Technical Sales Support reporting to the IoT Solution Architect located in Centurion, Pretoria  

Job Purpose

The primary mission of the IoT Technical Sales Support is to increase IoT Products/Offering/Solution sales by designing complex IoT Offerings or Solutions based on customer insights, market research and continuous improvement across either, multiple IoT Products, or focussed on a Offering or Solution depending on size and complexity.  

Key Result Areas (Major Accountabilities)

  • Lead the end to end design of Industry Offerings/Solutions integrating our core platform components, custom developed extensions and features as well as device integration to deliver a seamlessly integrated offering/solution.
  • Align Offering/Solution features and capabilities with core product roadmap.
  • Lead the delivery of client Proof of Concepts, Proof of Value and delivery projects.
  • Provide IoT.nxt Offering/Solution training to customers, partners and resellers.
  • Continuously improve Offerings and Solution to appeal to customer’s changing needs and differentiate our market position.
  • Plan and modify solutions and offerings to meet client needs.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of Telemetry, M2M, Internet of Things (IoT) or Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)
  • Systems / Software / Principles – Cloud based, Platform as a Service, Big Data
  • Exhibit knowledge of principles and procedures for project management
  • Exhibit knowledge of Waterfall and Agile delivery methods

  • Hands on implementation experience across IoT Platform, Edge Gateway, Device Integration and custom development.

Professional Experience:

  • Technical Specialist with 3-5 years software solution design and delivery experience with a preference for IoT, M2M, Telematics or IIoT
 

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology of Engineering related field
  • Or equivalent
