Senior executive appointed to accelerate IoT.nxt US expansion
As activity in the US picks up pace, IoT.nxt, a subsidiary of Vodafone, has appointed Trevor DeLew as Vice President of Sales for North America. DeLew is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the technology sector.
“Trevor has 30 years of experience in Enterprise Software Sales and Sales Leadership. I am confident that his command of the sales and marketing process will give new impetus to our US operation. He will be based on the east coast (Washington DC) and will have an immediate and positive impact our growing partnership with Vodafone,” says Eric Steller, President of the Americas at IoT.nxt , appointed in September this year.
According to DeLew there are many industries to target in the US, notably the Federal Government and its eco system. “The US government is the largest landlord in the US and can benefit hugely from the disruptive solution IoT.nxt can provide. The government has published several IoT goals for its different agencies. This will allow us to identify opportunities for the IoT.nxt smart buildings, asset tracking, and energy efficiency solutions, to name a few,” DeLew says.
He adds that IoT.nxt’s technology agnostic solution and the fact that the introduction of its platform requires no new hardware purchases will be of particular interest. “We will identify new partners to work with us to engage both the private sector opportunities that abound as well as well as new markets like the US government and its agencies. The opportunity is vast.”
Prior to joining IoT.nxt DeLew was Vice President of Secure Cloud Sales at SAP where he Increased customer acquisitions for the Commercial Regulated Environment from 1 in 2019 to 13 in 2020 and achieved 2020 bookings of 15 million. He also served as Vice President of Federal at Qualtrics where he founded the Federal Government business and grew to over $30 million across 160 customers and agencies. He has experience of government projects obtained during the earlier part of his career at Parametric Technology Corporation where he managed the US Army and Raytheon accounts and worked with Federal, Aerospace, & Defence technical resources agencies.
DeLew obtained a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Intermodalism, obtained at the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point.
